Zurich – Resurgent Cadillac showcases its strongest-ever European product line-up at Frankfurt this year, with the European premiere of its luxury Ciel convertible concept car taking center stage.

The four-door Ciel convertible is a sumptuous celebration of open-top motoring on a grand scale. It is indicative of a new self-confidence at Cadillac which is driving the brand forward.

The pace of Cadillac’s renaissance will accelerate in spring next year with launch of an all-new XTS sedan in the large, premium vehicle segment. And this will be closely followed by the arrival of a new, rear-drive compact sedan, code-named ATS. It will hit showrooms next autumn and compete head-to-head with Europe’s elite compact offerings.

Entering showrooms right now is the final extension of Cadillac’s awesome CTS V‑Series, the 415 kW/564 hp CTS-V Sport Wagon, the fastest production wagon on the planet. It joins its Sport Sedan and Coupe stable-mates on the Cadillac stand.

“The Frankfurt show comes at a pivotal point in the re-birth of the Cadillac brand,” says Wolfgang Schubert, Cadillac Europe Managing Director. “We have come a long way in short space of time since re-establishing the brand in Europe just a year ago. We now have a full CTS range in the mid-size vehicle segment, plus the SRX Crossover and Escalade SUVs. And next year we will book-end the CTS line-up by re-entering the premium segments for large and compact cars above and below it.”

Highlights on the Cadillac stand:

  • European Premiere

The Cadillac Ciel concept is a luxury four-door convertible melding high-tech features with hand-crafted opulence. A glorious evocation of the classic grand touring spirit, it resonates with Cadillac’s tradition for expansive design and takes the brand’s Art & Science design philosophy to a new, expressive level.

  • CTS V-Series

The full line-up on display includes the fastest sedan and wagon in series production. Awesome power from a 415 kW/564 hp, supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, is combined with Magnetic Ride Control, the world’s fastest-acting active suspension system.

  • CTS Sport Wagon and Coupe

The latest additions to Cadillac’s core mid-size range. The Sport Wagon adds five-door functionality to signature Cadillac design, including an innovative ‘hidden’ roof rail system. The dramatic, 2+2 Coupe simply oozes style. Like their Sedan stable-mate, both models are available with rear or all-wheel drive. A lighter and more efficient 237 kW/322 hp, 3.6-liter V6 gives nearly four percent more power without any increase in fuel consumption.

  • SRX Crossover

Cadillac’s acclaimed entry into the crossover segment is now given a more powerful, 199 kW/270 hp 3.0-liter V6 engine, generating maximum torque of 301 Nm at just 3,200 rpm for enhanced pulling power. The active all-wheel drive system comes with an electronically-controlled, limited-slip rear differential as standard.

  • Escalade Hybrid Platinum Edition

The Escalade Hybrid is the first full-sized, luxury SUV to offer hybrid technology. In city driving, its Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT) enables a 33 percent improvement in fuel economy. The Platinum Edition adds a top-of-the-line, luxury interior and LED headlamps. Like all Escalades, it features Cadillac’s industry-leading Magnetic Ride Control active suspension system.
