Paris – Marking the new start in Europe, Cadillac presents a portfolio of model year 2011 vehicles, including the CTS Coupe, the CTS Sport Wagon and the SRX Crossover. All these vehicles can be ordered through Cadillac’s newly established retailer network, consisting of roughly 40 fully authorized dealers in key European markets. In addition, a pan-European network of certified repairers will look after the Cadillac vehicles in Europe.

Cadillac is making progress in establishing a fully authorized sales and service network in Europe. Wolfgang Schubert, Cadillac Europe Managing Director, is pleased with the progress the company is making in developing its retail and service network: “Cadillac believes strongly that luxury markets will continue to grow outside the US – including Europe – and we intend to continue our participation in those luxury growth markets.”

“We have made huge progress since we announced the new start of Cadillac activities in Europe at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year,” says Schubert, “and we are proud to present a strong product lineup here in Paris, showing that Cadillac is here to stay as a serious competitor in the premium market. The focal point of our activities in Europe is of course a robust sales and service network. We want to make sure that Cadillac customers in Europe can rely on a service which is appropriate for a premium brand.”

The Cadillac Automobile Company was founded in 1902, integrated into the General Motors Organization in 1909 and became in the years to follow Americas leading automotive luxury brand. Cadillac has a rich history of engineering inventions – from the self-starter to the industry’s first 16-cylinder engine, the first V8 engines, power steering, power brakes etc. Cadillac has been famous for the styling of its vehicles creating an aura of dream cars – with the breathtaking tailfin architecture of the sixties as a memorable example.

The new generation Cadillacs stand out from the crowd with their expressive design language, offering a high level of individuality. Within the premium segment, Cadillac with its special character stands on its own, offering technology developed for European tastes, as well as elegant and stylish interior comfort with high functionality. Powerful V6 and V8 engines provide the unique Cadillac-specific dynamic and at the same time cultivated driving pleasure.

Cadillac’s new 564 hp CTS-V Coupe celebrates its European premiere at this year’s Paris Motor Show. This vehicle combines Cadillac’s highly dramatic production design with its yet most potent and sophisticated technology.

The 2011 CTS Sport Wagon is immediately available on the European markets. It is powered by direct injected 3.0l and 3.6l V6 engines providing improved power while maintaining fuel economy and lower emissions. It is a unique vehicle – with significant functionality – intended to connect with the changing priorities of luxury customers.

The SRX crossover features a completely new design combined with an efficient, high-technology engine. It is designed for efficient performance, including a high-tech six-cylinder engine that is new to Cadillac. The new, 3.0L direct injected V6 engine employs technology that helps produce strong performance typical of larger-displacement engines. Direct injection enables a 25-percent reduction in hydrocarbon emissions during the cold-start. Fuel economy is comparable with a mid-size family car.

Performance and safety are enhanced by a standard all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that is designed to optimize vehicle handling and stability in all driving conditions. The AWD system includes an advanced electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD) that distributes torque as needed from side-to-side along the rear axle, in addition from the front to rear axle.
