Facility Details

The General Motors Powertrain Warren Transmission Plant is the proud producer of the 6T70E / 6T75E world-renowned Hydra-Matic transmissions for GM’s great vehicles, including:  Chevrolet Traverse and Malibu; GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.  The plant employs 572 people.  Hourly employees are represented by UAW Local 909.  Over 360,000 transmissions were produced in the 2011 calendar year.

Investments

  • 2011:  Announced a $325 million investment in tools and equipment to support production of future electric vehicle components.
